The annual Little Hawks & Junior Hawks Cheer Clinic is held in memory of former Cistercian Cheerleader, Madeline Limber, who passed away in July 2016.
Maddy attended Ursuline Academy of Dallas from 2010-2014 and was a member of the Cistercian Cheer team from 2011-2014. While on the Hawks cheer team, she was a two-time NCA All-American Nominee, and was named to the NCA All-American Team in 2012.
Madeline had a generous heart of service, and enjoyed coaching middle school cheer at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School from 2009-2013, tutoring students at Uplift Academy and St. Philips Community Center, and actively volunteering in the planning and execution of the annual Spreading Good Cheer benefiting Catholic Charities of Dallas event from 2007-2015.
After graduating from Ursuline Academy of Dallas in 2014, Maddy attended Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, where she was a member the Spring Hill College Cheer Team 2014-16, and continued volunteer coaching for a special needs cheer team in Mobile, Alabama.
Maddy had a joyful and blessed life and touched others with her awe-inspiring faith, love, and kindness. She loved her friends and family, loyally, and completely. Her love of being a cheerleader was evident as she cheered for St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School, Cistercian Preparatory, and Spring Hill College. She was happiest when cheering on the sideline and flying in the air. She also enjoyed being around younger girls and the Little Hawks Cheer Clinic was one of her favorite traditions. Her legacy will live on as the Little Hawks cheer in memory of our angel, Maddy Limber.
A portion of the proceeds from the clinic will be donated to The Madeline Limber Memorial Scholarship which benefits St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School students attending Ursuline Academy of Dallas.
